Terms of Service
Effective July 6, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Facedouble LLC (“SoloTake,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the SoloTake app and website. By using SoloTake, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use SoloTake. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you may use SoloTake only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
2. SoloTake Premium & subscriptions
SoloTake offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (“SoloTake Premium”) that unlock additional features. The following applies:
- Price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Canceling stops future renewals; the current period runs to its end.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store’s terms; we generally cannot issue refunds directly.
3. Your content
You keep all ownership of the recordings, scripts, and media you create with SoloTake (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate the app’s features for you (for example, transcribing, cleaning up, generating captions, or exporting). We don’t claim ownership of Your Content and don’t use it to advertise.
You are responsible for Your Content, including having the rights and any necessary consent to record and use the people, voices, music, images, and other material it contains.
4. AI features
SoloTake uses AI to suggest edits, clean up filler words, generate captions and backgrounds, and rewrite scripts. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or not unique to you. You are responsible for reviewing anything AI produces before you publish or rely on it. AI features are provided “as is,” and you should not treat their output as professional advice.
5. Third-party media
Stock clips and images (for example from Pexels and Tenor) are provided by third parties under their own licenses. You’re responsible for using such media in line with those licenses and any attribution they require.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use SoloTake to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, including privacy, publicity, or intellectual property;
- record or depict a person without the consent they’re entitled to, or impersonate someone or create deceptive/“deepfake” content;
- create harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful content;
- reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the service, or attempt to access it in unauthorized ways.
7. Changes to the service or terms
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update these terms. If we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above. Continuing to use SoloTake after changes take effect means you accept them.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
SoloTake is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your expectations.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Facedouble LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data, profits, or content. Our total liability for any claim relating to SoloTake is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Facedouble LLC against claims and costs arising from Your Content or your misuse of SoloTake or violation of these terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using SoloTake at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnification) will survive termination.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Austin, Texas will have jurisdiction over any dispute not otherwise handled by Apple or applicable to your local consumer-protection rights. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
13. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
If you believe content infringes your copyright, contact us at support@facedouble.com with the details required under the DMCA.
14. Apple App Store terms
Because SoloTake is distributed through the Apple App Store, the following also applies:
- These terms are between you and Facedouble LLC only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for SoloTake or its content.
- Your license to use SoloTake is limited to a non-transferable license to use it on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for SoloTake.
- If SoloTake fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to SoloTake, including product-liability, legal, or regulatory claims, or third-party claims that SoloTake infringes intellectual-property rights.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. embargo or on a U.S. prohibited-parties list.
